The demolition of Taberner House is nearing completion, with just a small section left. It's amazing how quickly such a large building has been taken apart, considering its location and the risks involved.
Croydon Council HQ, several of members of my family worked at Taberner House over the years and I visited them at work quite often, so it has some fond memories for me as a boy, going to the top floor and being able to see for miles.
The Croydon skyline has changed - for better or worse. An even taller building is planned for construction on the site. Watch this (or that) space!
